Medium-Resolution Spectrograph
First Light
The MRS - VISCAM had engineering first light on August 7, 2002 using
a solar feed fiber. Spectra were obtained using a 200 micron telescope
looking at sky scattered from a piece of white paper in 1 second integrations.
Below is an image of one of the solar spectra.
