large air compressor: oil level, power on, test panel lights, start,
check oil flow
ð
dryer: power on black button, then open large dryer valve slowly
ð
glycol startup: start, gauge at 8 GPM
ð
inspect interior: glycol drops, sweep pier, fan covers open,
spectrograph room
ð
inspect exterior: glycol pump and tank, ahu's,
chillers
ð
(1-1) open smoke: startwork
ð
(1-2) open SAMS Server and GUI, go to operate
ð
(2-1) open Dome GUI, open roof
vents and home dome on GUI
ð
(2-2) open "LRS PXL Guider” as first of all guiders and check camera
ð
(2-3) open "HRS PXL Guider” and check camera
ð
(2-4) open “HRS Apogee Guider” and check camera
ð
(3-2) start MARS-HEFI system, turn Wavescope
power on, open HEFI interface and HEFI light source GUIs via desktop pulldown menu
ð
open baffle xterm, check translation slide
ð
reset (Close, then reopen) SPS
ð
check calscreen
ð
open FIF/PMT GUI, home HRS and MOS probes, then watch HRS probe move to
242,000 and when done ensure lamps/camera are off (**while moving, click
continue, not abort!)
ð
(4-1) open PMAC & Hexapod State Monitor, Crockett Tss, power up tracker, Tcs GUI
ð
enable structure, initialize, track, initialize search, test structure
movement
ð
check weather: Mt Fowlkes & Locke GUI's,
Netscape, visually
ð
open dome, CCAS shutter, louvers, roof vents; jcoff
ð
ensure unneeded lights around HET are off (i.e. loading bay, basement,
GTAG)
ð
make sure dome lights are off, go to incandescents
in the control room
