Weather Conditions

Before you open the dome shutter it is best to check the current weather conditions and the forcast.

If weather conditions are borderline refer to a copy of the Closure Policy found in this manual.

1. On monitor 3, screen 3 open WorkSpace Menu and select Weather>Mt. Fowlkes Client and

Weather>Mt. Locke Client. These GUIs list temperatures, wind speed and direction,

humidity, dust count (Mt. Locke GUI only), and barometric pressure.

2. Open a Netscape browser from the WorkSpace menu. From the Personal Toolbar select

NWS Doppler Radar to check for any precipitation in the area.

3. Make a visual inspection of weather outside.
