Make sure the star has at least 30 counts at its center (peak/max counts) and that the star is not saturating, and it should not be blown out at the center). DO NOT adjust the image scaling ("Gain"), keep it 0. As long as this looks good, continue with these steps. If star is too bright (saturating) or too faint (below 30 counts at its peak), you will need to reconsider your choice of star or the weather conditions.
